Open Enrollment is a window of time when people can sign up for health insurance. They can also make changes to their coverage, or drop their health insurance coverage.<\/a> Healthcare open enrollment was only for employer-sponsored health insurance, but with the passing of the Affordable Care Act, it was introduced to the individual market in 2013.
